The next day we rented a motorbike and drove out to the beach, but it was ridiculously too hot so we only stayed 2 hours and headed back towards town stopping for lunch along the way.

That evening our clothes were finished and we had a mini fashion show. Noelice had an amazing coat done, a pair of pants, and a dress (and this was only at one tailor...). At the same tailor I had a dress, and a shirt made. At another tailor I had a pair of pants and a skirt and another dress made at yet another tailor...and not to forget two pairs of sandals. The tailor shops in Hoi An can get quite addictive.

On our third day in Hoi An we kept our rented motorbike and took a 1 1/2 hour trip outside of Hoi An to see the My Son (pronounced "mee-ee son") Champa ruins. This day was also stifling hot and when we arrived Noelice said that she wished we took an A/C bus instead. Even though the drive through the countryside was absolutely stunning, in retrospect, I would have to agree. The ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage site and they were amazing. I had no idea that Hinduism traveled all the way to Vietnam.

On our last day in Hoi An we just wandered around the riverfront before heading back to Hanoi.
For Noelice's last day in Vietnam we took a local bus from Hanoi out to Bat Trang village (aka Pottery Village) to buy some tea sets and ceramic bowls to bring home as souvenirs. The bus on the way to Bat Trang is quite interesting as it doesn't exactly come to a full stop to let passengers off or let them on, but luckily ours was the last stop so we didn't have to worry about that.
Unfortunately, I had to rush Noelice off to the airport so I could pick up my final salary before Monday so I could deposit it and transfer it back home before I left Hanoi for the last time (until I return in the future!)
